Agia Markella, Chios: Agia Markella Monastery and beach. A two day festival is held on July 21st/22nd every year.
Lampsa, Chios: Lampsa is a quiet, 'big' sand beach.
Limnos, Chios: Limnos has a popular sandy beach in summer as the trees provide welcome shade. There are two restaurants, a coffee bar (try the waffles!) and a beach bar.
Lefkathia, Chios: Lefkathia is a sandy beach with a friendly beach bar providing chairs and umbrellas.
Limnia, Chios: Limnia is the pituresque little harbour below Volissos village. Restaurants and bars line the water's edge - a wonderful place to relax.
Gonia, Chios: Gonia means 'corner' and it is the sandy end of the long Managros beach. The lively beach bar has chairs and umbrellas.
Magamena, Chios: Magamena is the northern stretch of Managros beach. Sand, pebbles and clear seas on this largely deserted beach. Quiet even in summer.

Prastia, Chios: Prastia is a lovely sandy beach and tiny harbour. The sea is often a little warmer here as the beach shelves more gently. There are rocks to scamble over at the far end.

Sidirounda, Chios: Sidirounda village is almost fully renovated. The tavernas have spectacular views and sunsets.

Tighani, Chios: Tighani, a series of pebble beaches in a beautiful bay. Worth scrambling over the rocks to get to the furthest cove.

Lithi, Chios: Lithi is a fine sand beach which shelves very gently so very safe for children. There are many fish tavernas and a harbour.
Vesa, Chios: Vesa is one of the beautiful medieval villages that include Mesta and Pyrgi.
Volissos, Chios: Volissos is a traditional village set on a hillside. There are shops and tavernas. The views from the taverna at the top of the village are breathtaking.
